A MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE

I have always wanted to be a basketball player. Last summer, I had my chance to make the dream come true.  I went to basketball campus for a one week because wanted learn more basketball.To the campus came the famous basketball player, his name is Nacho Llobet. We could make photos with him. Also we could make diferents questions,and he answered the questions.

After that other boys and Nacho Llobet made a quiz of shooting. And the finally we went to the Olot's swimming pool. There we could swim.

GREEN SCHOOL

1. What is it?
A green school is a school that is in social and cultural development besides doing schoolwork also teaching recycling
.

2. Who and when invented it?

Was originally a Sunday school for girls founded in 1796. It educated girls rejected from the heavily oversubscribed Blue School (now Isleworth and Syon School).

3. What do we know about it in La Garrotxa and Catalunya?

I know that now many school are agree with project and now there are a lots of schools around the world that applicate this project especially in Catalunya.

4. Which objectives did they create it with?

The green school was created with the objective of educate students with respect and conservation of the environment. Also not belittle the environmental impacts of the school and exchange opinions with other schools.

5. Is our high school a green school?

Our high school is a green school from 2002, because meet commitments. These are: the 20% of teachers have to be involved. Also the school have an environment committee. In la Garrotxa also there are 4 green schools most: Volcà Bisaroques, el Cor de Maria, l’escola Pia d’Olot and l’IES La Garrotxa.

6. What things do we do to meet with the rules of this company?
Our high school we do different things for example:  choose an environmental delegate of each class and the delegates meet with delegates from other classes, turn off the lights when there sun, use correctly the paper bin which there is in each class to recycle the paper.

7. Who are the environment delegates?

Environmental representatives are responsible for protecting the environment of the school. They have a very a lot of important works:

- They need to throw out the bin into the recycling bin every day.

- They go to the environment events.

- They are responsible to tell the children where they throw their things.

8. Do the students meet with their environment homework?

It depends the school for example in a green school the teachers teach and force them to recycle however in a normal school (not green) the teachers don’t teach them how recycle but the most part of the students do it.

9. Where does go the rubbish that we produced in the school?
First of all the paper go to the recycle bin and if not a paper goes to the normal bin every day the environment representative throw everything in its container. Then it goes to a fact and there are the responsible to transform the waste into a new object.

10. Do we do some events about the environment?  

In our high school there isn’t any environment event that meet all the students, possibly because there are the environment delegates, who already commission to manifest in this so much valued field and in the same time so much little respected.  Is true, that would be a good idea propose to make an environmental party, to celebrate who we are a green school. A “Green Party”!!

11. Assessment

In general we thought that has been very interesting and rewarding do this work, because currently the environment is one of the most appreciated and significant factors in the world. Every day they remember us the importance of recycling, no pollute... but we know why? Experts ensure that the pollution are changing the global climate and this can lead to death. So, we have the only key to change this panorama. We really want to live in a world full of shit and unbreathable air? At least, I no!! Now, if all meet our green duties as citizens, the world will return us the climatic peace. Yes, we can!!
